Constructed by Burt Process of smooth, tough stress relieved thermoplastics to handle corrosive solutions or to prevent contamination of sensitive materials where metal cannot be used. Thermal bending and butt-fusion welding machinery provides superior tank construction as compared to hand welding techniques. The seamless corners, coupled with correct wall thickness, assure leak proof, versatile tanks. Strong rims and girth supports are added as needed. Overflow weirs, outlets, heater or motor mounts, epoxy-coated steel or all plastic support legs are available.

Almost any size and configuration can be built to meet your individual needs. Fiberglass casings may be installed on the exterior of these tanks, if desired, to provide protection from exterior abuse, excessive weight on rims or extremes of temperature.

FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC TANKS


Burt Process fiberglass reinforced plastic tanks are contact molded in a number of sizes and shapes with capacities to 15,000 gallons using a combination of the “hand lay-up” and the “spray-up” manufacturing process. All tanks are designed and manufactured, as a minimum requirement, to conform with ASTM Standard D 4097-82 and NBS Standard PS-15-69. These tanks are intended for above ground service to contain aggressive chemicals at essentially atmospheric pressure utilizing special corrosion resistant polyester resins in their construction.

CUSTOM STAINLESS STEEL TANKS

Our stainless steel tanks are used for a wide range of applications involving storage, mixing and chemical process. They can be supplied with flat, cone, dished or sloped bottoms. Accessories for mounting mixers, fittings, flanges, valves and casters can be supplied upon request.
